Finesse® gave me some free samples to try out and I have been testing out Finesse® Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner for the past week. I was a BIG Finesse user in high school, but they've come out with new formulas since then so I was excited to give it a try! First, I love the smell of Finesse, especially the conditioner. I can't even describe the smell, but I'd call it a spicy floral. It just makes your hair smell great.
You guys know that I've recently switched to henna following decades of dying. Henna will hopefully help improve the condition of my hair, but I can still use some help repairing all the damage that dying has done. My hair is dry and tends to get frizzy. Finesse® Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner is "infused with active silk and soy proteins that penetrate deep into the hair shaft", which is supposed to leave hair more moisturized and manageable and leave hair clean, soft, easier to detangle, and easier to style.
So how did it go? My hair definitely felt softer. I saw my aunt on Sunday and she commented on how soft my hair was! I've always felt like my hair was a scratchy tumbleweed so this was a great compliment. My hair was easier to detangle and did seem more moisturized. One thing I did notice was that these products seemed to give my hair more body, which for me, isn't necessarily what I want! My hair is big enough as it is! But, this was easily solved by adding a creme styler before letting it air dry and most people actually DO want more body so this isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Finesse® Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner retails for $3.99 each and is only $1.99 at Walmart! You can also get it at Walgreens, Rite Aid, and grocery chains such as Kroger, Shoprite, HEB, and Publix.
Finesse provided me with free bottles of their Finesse® Restore and Strengthen Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. All opinions are my own!
